The station's unique workforce includes Mika, a glossy black labrador, who plays a crucial role in Tarina's daily life. Mika's adaptability and calm demeanor make her an ideal companion for Tarina, who has struggled with finding her way around the station and her role as a physiotherapist on the Yorke Peninsula.
